What id Raynaud's Disease
A number of different tests have been used to quantify digital vascular disease and to characterize blood flow patterns in Raynaud's disease, also known as Raynaud's phenomenon. These include nail fold microscopy, plethysmography, digital blood pressure measurement, skin immersion temperature measurement, laser Doppler flow and Doppler sonography, among others.
Doppler sonography is a non invasive technique that allows visualization of the hand and digital arteries and blood flow velocities before and after cold provocation. This test is performed at our laboratories and is covered by medical insurance.
