The title of the research study is "Feasibility and safety of foam sclerotherapy followed by multiple subcutaneous interruption ligation under local anesthesia for outpatients with varicose veins.
The researchers ligated varicose veins after foam sclerotherapy and the patients were reviewed at 1, 3, 6 and 12 months.
Varicose veins were ligated subcutaneously after foam sclerotherapy with an absorbable suture. Patients were reviewed at 1, 3, 6 and 12 months.
The researchers showed that "pain scores decreased following this technique as well as CEAP and rVCSS scores without significant complications observed on follow-up".
